Empowering Youth. Transforming Communities.

Our work focuses on  youth empowerment, employment support, mentorship, and sports development

The MugabeWere Foundation is a community-based organization located in Dandora Phase 4, Nairobi, Kenya, dedicated to empowering young people and transforming lives through opportunity, mentorship, and community-driven programs. The foundation was established with the belief that every young person deserves access to opportunities that enable them to build a better future for themselves, their families, and their communities. Dandora and surrounding neighborhoods are home to many talented and hardworking young people. However, many youth face challenges such as unemployment, limited access to skills training, negative social influences, and lack of opportunities to realize their full potential. MugabeWere Foundation exists to address these challenges by creating practical programs that equip youth with the tools they need to succeed.  Our work focuses on youth empowerment, employment support, mentorship, and sports development as pathways to improving the social and economic well-being of young people. Through our initiatives, we aim to help youth develop life skills, gain access to training and job opportunities, and build the confidence needed to pursue meaningful and productive lives.  One of the key pillars of the foundation is the promotion of sports and recreational activities as a powerful tool for youth engagement and mental wellness. Sports create safe spaces where young people can build teamwork, discipline, leadership, and resilience while staying away from harmful activities. Through organized sports programs, mentorship, and community events, we aim to promote positive mental health, physical well-being, and social unity among youth.  The foundation also works to connect youth with employment opportunities, vocational training, and entrepreneurship initiatives that help them become financially independent. By partnering with community leaders, organizations, and stakeholders, MugabeWere Foundation seeks to create sustainable pathways that uplift the standard of living for young people and their families.  At MugabeWere Foundation, we believe that empowered youth build stronger communities. Our commitment is to nurture the talents, dreams, and leadership potential of young people in Dandora and beyond. By investing in youth today, we are helping to create a future where communities thrive through opportunity, dignity, and hope.

The idea behind the MugabeWere Foundation was born from a deep belief that the future of our community lies in the hands of our young people. Growing up and working closely with communities like Dandora Phase 4, it is clear that our youth possess enormous potential, talent, and resilience. However, many young people face challenges such as unemployment, limited opportunities, and lack of mentorship that prevent them from fully realizing their dreams.  The MugabeWere Foundation was established to respond to these challenges by creating opportunities that empower youth and give them the tools they need to succeed. Our goal is to build programs that support young people through skills development, mentorship, employment opportunities, and sports initiatives that promote both physical and mental well-being.  We strongly believe that when young people are given guidance, resources, and opportunities, they become powerful agents of positive change within their families and communities. By investing in youth development today, we are building a stronger and more hopeful future for Dandora and for our nation.  The foundation also recognizes the important role that sports and community engagement play in shaping responsible and confident young leaders. Through sports programs and mentorship initiatives, we aim to create safe spaces where youth can discover their talents, build discipline, and develop leadership skills.  This journey cannot be achieved alone. It requires the support and collaboration of community members, partners, organizations, and leaders who share the vision of empowering the next generation. Together, we can create opportunities that uplift lives and transform communities.  I invite all stakeholders, partners, and supporters to join us in this mission of empowering youth and building a brighter future for our community.  Together, we can inspire hope, unlock potential, and transform lives.
